The Vitra Compas Direction Desk, designed by Jean Prouvé, was originally developed through various models around 1950. Each featured the elegant splayed and tapered legs which echo the hands found within a compass - in French, "le compas". The unique styling of the legs and base, hint at Prouvé's training as a metal smith. Vitra Compas Direction is perfect for the home office paired with the Prouve Fauteuil Direction Chair. The solid wood tabletop, of a generous depth, adds a welcome contrast and is available in natural oak, smoked oak and American walnut. A choice of 5 different colours can be selected for the powder coated base.
