The design of Flos Tatou Light is inspired by classic antique Japanese armour. The name 'Tatou' is French for armadillo.
The 'shell' protects direct light to the eyes and produces a harmonic play on light and shadow through the perforated sections. This is made up of four identical elements which are all interwoven to form a unified dome shape which diffuses light both up and down. The Black version gives off a burgundy hue when its on and the Ochre Grey version gives off a copper hue. Tatou suspension comes in two sizes - S1 (smaller version) and S2 (larger version). Also available in Table and Floor versions
